European Collaboration Summit, Cologne, May 06, 2026

Once again, I had the chance to speak at the European Collaboration Summit, this time in Cologne.

My session focused on cutting-edge technologies that make administration more modern and manageable, in an environment that keeps getting more complex. Privileged Identity Management is a perfect example: genuinely powerful, but far from plug-and-play. Getting real security value out of it means understanding the dependencies, the operational impact, and what it actually means for the people running your environment. The session covered practical, field-tested ground:

  • PIM for Groups and how it shifts delegation models
  • How PIM interacts with Access Packages, Lifecycle Workflows, and Conditional Access
  • Real-world wins from customer engagements
  • How Security Copilot can surface risks in administrative configurations

Lots of live demos and thanks to Murphy’s Law staying quiet for once, every single one ran smoothly. Thanks to the ECS team and everyone who attended and asked great questions. The questions were sharp, the hallway conversations even better, exactly what makes community events worth showing up for.
