Talk at Adriatics Tech Summit in Sarajevo
I had the pleasure of speaking at the first edition of the Adriatics Tech Summit in Sarajevo.
My session, “PIMp Your Administration: Strengthening Zero Trust with Entra ID”, focused on a topic that often sounds straightforward in theory but quickly becomes very real once you run it in production.
Privileged Identity Management is frequently positioned as a quick win for Zero Trust: enable JIT, require MFA — done.
If only it were that simple.
In reality, PIM is powerful, but it is not plug-and-play. To achieve real security value, organizations need to understand dependencies, operational processes, and the impact on administrators.
During the session, I walked through practical, field-tested scenarios, including:
- PIM for Groups and how it changes delegation models
- The interaction of PIM with technologies such as Access Packages, Lifecycle Workflows, and Conditional Access policies
- Real-world PIM wins from customer environments
- How Security Copilot can help identify risks in administrative setups
